Density of an irregular solid

Method

1. Measure mass using a balance.

2. Measure volume by using the "displacement method (submerge solid in a "Eureka" can and collect the overflow in a measuring cylinder )

3. Calculate density (p=m/V)

Results

1. m = 4.5g

2. V = 2cm³

3. p=m/V = 4.5/2 = 2.25g/cm³ 

= 2g/cm³
